Hello again and happy June!
I hope you’re having a great week so far, and a good start to the month of June, which is one of my favorite months of the year! 😀
I have some very exciting news this week: I’ve finally set up my Kickstarter project for my upcoming novel, The View from the Cliffs, to be released this fall. It was a lot of work to get to this point, as you know, but now the pre-launch page is activated!
What this means: if you click on the button below, you’ll be taken to the pre-launch page on Kickstarter (you can quickly set up a Kickstarter account in about 1 minute if you’re not already registered—and it’s totally free to do so). Once you’re at the pre-launch page, you’ll see my project, “The View from the Cliffs: A Novel,” and you’ll be able to click on the green “Notify Me on Launch” button. That way, you’ll be notified by email as soon as my novel launches!
Why do a Kickstarter campaign for this novel? Here are just a few reasons:
This allows me to give you the chance to have one of the very FIRST copies of this book!
This is your best chance to order and receive a SIGNED copy of the book, since I don’t know yet whether I’ll be doing any in-person events for this one.
It will allow me to have an idea of how many books to print and have ready for pre-order.
Kickstarter allows me to offer several different levels of rewards for you, from digital bundles (e-book and audiobook) to signed print bundles, to special webinars and virtual author events!
This is my first time publishing a book under my own imprint, and there are more accumulated costs and fees than I can list here … having your early support will truly make this project possible, and will allow me to go on to offer my book through libraries, local bookstores, and global distributors.
This book will NOT be available on Amazon, although I will make it available through other retailers after the Kickstarter campaign ends. So this is truly the best way for me to get you a first-edition, signed print copy of the book, along with many options for perks and rewards that are only available via the Kickstarter campaign!
Once you sign up to be notified, you’ll get a notice directly in your email inbox when I launch the campaign, which will likely be this August. The campaign will run for 3 weeks once it’s launched, and you’ll have a chance during that time to show your support and purchase limited-edition rewards. 😃

What I’m Feeling Good About
My Kickstarter campaign for The View from the Cliffs is FINALLY in the pre-launch phase! Here’s that link again:

I’m also VERY grateful to everyone who answered the survey at the end of May regarding what I can do to reach more people with Positive Vibes! On the second round of the survey, many more respondents chimed in, and here are the final results:
Roughly 50% of you (those who answered the survey) voted for starting a YouTube channel.
A little over 25% recommended starting a podcast.
The rest advised some sort of rewards-based referral or support program, online book clubs, and online author discussions.
So, I’m happy to report that I will be starting a Positive Vibes YouTube channel that can also be broadcast as an audio-only podcast. I’m super excited to be able to say that last week I recorded the video introduction for my YouTube channel! It took several hours of work, and there will be several more ahead, since I’m new to publishing videos, but I believe it will be worth it.
I’ll also be offering more in the way of rewards-based programs, online book clubs, and author discussions, and the Kickstarter campaign will include some of those, too.
It will take time this summer to put all of this into play, so I appreciate your patience and support while I work to make this an even better experience for you and for all my readers and supporters!
