Fan Mail Address

And springing forward!

“Find the good and praise it.”

—Alex Haley

Hello again and happy March!

I’m working hard on increasing the frequency of this newsletter to every week … we’ll see how I do! 😉

Also, since so many have asked for this, I thought I’d better go ahead and announce it in the newsletter: yes, I do have a postal address where you can send “fan mail” or request an autographed bookplate sticker. (Thank you to Positive Vibes member, Dylan, for reminding me!)

That address is:

Dr. Yasmine S. Ali

LastSky Writing, LLC

P.O. Box 684

Ashland City, TN 37015

If you would like a signed bookplate sticker, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) to that address. Include a note to let me know that you would like a bookplate and how you would like it personalized—whose name should go in my autographed message (i.e., "For Jane ...").

I do not recommend sending books to that address to be autographed; there is too much risk of your book getting damaged or lost in transit back and forth.

As always, don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions—just reply to this email.

Warm regards,

Yasmine

What I’m Feeling Good About

Thank you to everyone who responded to my book cover reveal last week (on Leap Day)! I’m so glad the cover met with your approval, and I thank you for your kind comments!

I’m currently looking at a September release date for this novel. Of course, I will keep you updated!

And in my yard, spring is springing!

A good year for daffodils!

Also a good year for the Molly’s White hellebores (Lenten rose)

Pawsitive Vibes

This gorgeous Maine Coon belongs to a Positive Vibes community member, Patti, who graciously allowed me to share these pictures with you. This is Millie, whom Patti found and rescued from a ditch in the countryside, far from any home, as a tiny kitten. She was flea-ridden and scared, and it took Patti a week to catch her. Look how far she has come now!

Riddle Me This

Mary has 4 daughters, and each of her daughters has a brother. How many children does Mary have?

Answer below, at the end of this newsletter.

Funny Times

“Now, here’s another thing that happens with some writers: If we see you pick up a copy of one of our books at the store, we watch you. If you buy the book, I swear, it makes our whole day. But if you put the book down, reject us, as it were, it breaks our hearts. …

“So I’m watching this woman [at the local bookstore] … She reads the flap copy, then she reads the author blurbs on the back cover. Then she puts Along Came a Spider under her arm.

“I’m trying to be cool about this, but I want to go over and give her a big hug.

“I watch this wonderful, wonderful person walk down a long, narrow aisle—and then she slides Along Came a Spider into her hobo bag.

She stole the book.

“And all I can think is Does that count as a sale?
