What I’m Feeling Good About

If you’re on Facebook, you may have already seen this, but not everyone is (and Facebook’s algorithm doesn’t show my posts to everyone—who knows how it works?) … so I’m including it here, because it really was a fortuitous circumstance in my life recently:

I needed to rehome an ECG machine (which I had been trying to sell), and one day last month, I received an email message from my good friend and former medical school classmate, Sister Mary Diana, OP, MD, who now runs St. Martin’s Medical Care for the Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation in Nashville.

Sister reported that their ECG machine had broken, and was wanting my input on where to buy another—the options she was seeing were extremely expensive and out-of-budget—and where to look and what to look for. I immediately responded that I had a very good, almost-new ECG machine that needed a new home!

So, we were able to arrange this donation to St. Cecilia—I’m so pleased it worked out the way it did! The machine is already being put to good use for the health care of the Sisters!

What You’re Feeling Good About

One member of the Positive Vibes community, Heddie, wrote in with a truly beautiful message; I will quote part of it here:

“I’ll close by saying that the only thing that stays the same is that everything changes. If we can welcome and flex with whatever change comes our direction, we will live healthier and happier lives.”

You’ll be hearing more from Heddie in future issues—she has a lot of wisdom to share—so stay tuned!

(This section is where I’ll be featuring good news, tips, and bits of wisdom from readers—so please reply to this email and share some with me! It can be anything, big or small. Whatever you’re feeling good about.)

Birthday Vibes

Happy birthday to all those celebrating in April!!

Here are some fun facts about April babies:

More Good News

Don’t forget about the solar eclipse coming up this Monday, April 8! If you’re in the Nashville, TN area, as I am, here are your details:

And here is the full, interactive solar eclipse map for all regions:

Be prepared to view the eclipse safely. Never look at the sun with your naked eye, through regular sunglasses, or with binoculars or a telescope unless outfitted with a solar filter. For more info:

Funny Vibes

April is also National Humor Month, so here’s a little more …

Pawsitive Vibes

Do you remember Millie, the Maine Coon cat who owns the heart (and the home!) of Patti, another Positive Vibes member?

Here’s another photo of her as she looks today:

Rightfully known as “Queen Millie”

And here she is not long after Patti rescued her from a ditch by a country road so many years ago. How far she has come!

Got a pet pic you’d like to share? Please feel free to reply to this email!

Riddle Me This

I visited this place (and took this photo) a few weeks ago. Do you know where it is?

Correct answer will be in next week’s newsletter. In the meantime, if you think you know the answer, or if you have been there, just reply to this email and let me know!

For Your Playlist

For some reason, the “Linus and Lucy” theme always reminds me of Spring … and it doesn’t get more “Positive Vibes” than this! ;)

Last Word

It’s been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.
